Photoshoot № 1: K-Pop Idol
Project: Inner Child is an original idea of a photographer Zhaniya Fazylova, created to help people wake up their inner child. Since most of us had some childhood dreams, which just weren't meant to become reality (either for being hard or nearly impossible to achieve), Zhania offered her audience to recreate their dream in the controlled environment of a studio to experience the craziest dreams coming true.
For the first photo shoot, the theme is K-pop Idol, since becoming one was once the dream of a participant. At first glance, the idea is simple: to become a celebrity, magnetic, talented, fashion-forward. However, there were deeper factors, demanding consideration. For instance, we wanted to help this participant find the confidence and power, to shine just like a K-pop idle.
The styling process was drastic for the whole fantasy to work. The participant provided a few desirable makeup references, but the problem was that the styles of these references didn't match at all. Therefore, I suggested a simple makeup look, with soft eye makeup, to match the idol aesthetic. Since most of the photo shoot was taken while the model was wearing sunglasses, there was no use in making eye makeup too complicated and busy.
